Cheers to 55 Years

Kippa-Ring Village celebrated its grand opening on Thursday 27 May 1971, with just 12 stores. From these humble beginnings, the centre has grown into the vibrant retail destination we know today as Peninsula Fair, with even more exciting changes still to come. A major milestone came with the opening of the Kmart section in 1975, helping spark a shopping centre boom across the region. Fun fact: this Kmart was the 24th Kmart store to open in Australia. By 1991, Peninsula Fair Shopping Centre had truly come of age, officially opening on Thursday 18 April 1991.
